IBRA (“we”, “us”, “the site”) is an independent magazine at ibra.ink.

This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. By using ibra.ink you agree to this policy.

What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site:

  • Newsletter email: if you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send you new articles. Nothing else.
  • Payment information: if you support us, payment is handled entirely on the secure page of our payment provider (Amwal / PayTabs). We never see or store your card number, CVV, or full card details. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the amount.
  • Usage data: like most sites, our analytics and hosting record basic technical information — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring links.
  • Account data: if you are a writer with an account, we store your username, display name, bio, photo, and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality (such as keeping you logged in) and for analytics.

We may display advertising on this site through Google AdSense and other third-party vendors. These vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting https://www.google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at https://www.aboutads.info. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

  • To process and confirm payments you choose to make.
  • To understand and improve how the site is used.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the site work — our hosting (AWS), analytics (Google), advertising (Google AdSense), email delivery (Resend), and payment processing (Amwal / PayTabs). Each handles your data under its own terms.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
  • Ask us to delete your email or account data by contacting us.
  • Control cookies through your browser and the ad-settings links above.

Data security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Payment card details never touch our servers. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
